The Chronicles of Ariella: Lioness Lost
When investigative reporter, Ariella “Ari” Dalton, wakens on the morning of November 29, 2021, she has no idea that the course of her life is about to change forever. And it all begins in Book One of this six-part series with the murder of an old man who found the secret to everlasting love after a sad and loveless childhood that was uncannily similar to her own. Assigned to cover the case for The Pennsylvania Tribune, Ari is led into a macabre and violent world of Satanic gangs while collaborating with an elite FBI squad led by the very handsome – and very Catholic – Supervisory Special Agent Jesse Sandoval. His unshakable faith, and her investigations into the local metaphysical industry with its Reiki masters, crystal dealers, psychics and channelers, leads her to question her own proud stance as a “N.O.N.E.” who considers herself to be “spiritual” rather than religious.
At the same time, Ari begins to confront the damage of her childhood that has left her emotionally broken and angry at God. Sensing her inner struggles and hoping to bolster her poor self-image, Ari’s beloved grandmother, the world-renowned genealogist Jacqui Dalton, decides to reveal the research she has been conducting into the history of Ariella’s lineage. She begins by showing Ari a photograph of a woman taken in 1890 who looks almost exactly like her. Named Ariella “Ella” Ward, she was a Catholic activist whose fight for the rights of workers – and her alignment with one of the most powerful men of the glittering Gilded Age – helped to launch the beginning of the Church’s teaching on social justice. By the end of the story, Ari is moved to tears by this courageous young Catholic woman whose blood runs in her own sorry veins.
Book One debuted on December 1, 2024 with Book Two ready for release in the Fall of 2025. Thereafter, consecutive books will be released every six months.

Falling Into Place
In Book Two of this six-part series, investigative reporter Ari Dalton is once again forced to confront the evil workings of the Satanic gang, Hades Hood, while investigating two more hate crimes at local churches that leave yet another innocent sacristan dead. Working closely with FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jesse Sandoval, their attraction to each other becomes even more apparent, as does their paradoxical worldviews.
As she continues her Mystical Marvels series, she searches for clues with her journalism skills and delves into the dark worlds of witchcraft, goddess worship, and channeling. During one of these interviews, a medium delivers a message from a deceased ancestor that leaves Ari shaken to the core.
Meanwhile, she and Jesse just don’t see eye-to-eye on religion and the strain finally ruptures their relationship. The painful breakup forces Ari to question herself and her beliefs like never before. But is it too late to repair the damage?
Meanwhile, Ari is introduced to another ancestor, Ariella Rose “Rosie” Everleigh, who lived during the reign of Queen Elizabeth the First whose vicious persecution of Catholics forced Rosie to live under the constant threat of imprisonment. Strengthened by faith and her desire to live for God alone, Rosie’s plans for the convent are suddenly upended when a chance encounter with the heroic family Surveyor, Olivier Toussaint, sparks feelings in her that were wholly unexpected – for both of them.
Inspired by Rosie’s courage while facing threats to her life and the man she loves, Ari finally reaches out for help, and finds it in the last place she ever thought to look – the Church.

A Higher Love
In the third book in this series, investigative reporter Ari Dalton is forced to come to grips with the terrifying reality of evil as it manifests in yet another gruesome hate crime that claims the life of a young female sacristan who was just weeks away from being married. At the same time, Ari comes face-to-face with her own demons in a single terrifying moment that sends her fleeing from the New Age world she once espoused.
While she searches for answers, she stumbles upon a dark secret about Jesse that leaves her reeling. Meanwhile, her grandmother introduces her to another ancestor who lived during the 11th century, a romantic time of knights and chivalry, but also a dark era in Church history that was riddled with priestly immorality. Her courageous ancestor fought for the victims of these crimes in a way that encourages Ari to see herself, the faith, and her relationship with Jesse in a whole new light.
But even while she hopes for better days to come, dark forces are plotting to turn her new dreams into nightmares.
